We dive into the heart of a critical issue affecting our diets and health - ultra-processed foods. Dr. van Tulleken shares insights from his latest book, 'Ultra-Processed People - Why Do We All Eat Stuff That Isn't Food ... and Why Can't We Stop?', shedding light on why these foods are so prevalent in our diets and the challenges in avoiding them.

Our conversation spans from the health risks associated with ultra-processed foods, including obesity, mental health issues, cancer, and more, to Dr. van Tulleken's personal experiment of consuming an 80% ultra-processed food diet for a month.
